The aim of National Kidsafe Day is to increase awareness of unintentional childhood injuries and their prevention, as well as the valuable work of Kidsafe - the Child Accident Prevention Foundation of Australia, in public education, advocacy and research into the causes and prevention of unintentional childhood injury.

National Kidsafe Day is held during Children's Week; this provides a great opportunity for considering the safety of our children in our adult focused world during a week that celebrates our children.
On National Kidsafe Day - Tuesday October 23, 2012 we celebrated several things including: 'The Wiggles' new road safety song was released as part of National Kidsafe Day celebrations and we announced the Winners of the Kidsafe 2012 National Playspace Design Awards.
