The National Kidsafe Day Awards celebrate the achievements of children and adults in Australia in the field of child injury prevention and safety promotion.

The 2011 National Kidsafe Day Awards, proudly supported by The Leycester Meares Bequest, will be announced on National Kidsafe Day,  Tuesday  25 October 2011.

The focus for the 2011 Awards will be on Road Safety Awareness, Advocacy and Action. The Award categories (one winner from each category per state/territory) are:

Business Award
Recognises retailers / businesses who actively promote Road
Safety for children through action, increasing awareness or advocacy.

Local Champion Award (Adult Award - Individual/Group)
Recognises individuals / groups who have actively contributed to improved road safety for children in their local community.

Kids teaching Kids Award (Child Award - Individual/Group)
Recognises school students, local clubs or individual children who are less than 18 years of age and who have actively contributed to road safety for children.

Nominations will be collected by Kidsafe WA and distributed to the nominee’s local Kidsafe State/Territory office for judging and Award Presentation. Awards ceremonies will take place on National Kidsafe Day 2011 (Tuesday 25th October) in your state/territory.
